Thyme

About

Thyme is a small leafed herb related to mint and oregano.

Storage

Store in the fridge in a loosely closed container or bag.

Or, hang it upside down in a place with good air flow. When it’s dry, remove and crush the leaves and store in an airtight container indefinitely. This works especially well for thyme.

Cooking with Thyme

Thyme is often used in French, English and Italian cooking. It is good with recipes where you also add parsley, onion, oregano, garlic or leeks.

Recipes

  • Try adding thyme to pasta or pizza sauce
  • Goes great in vegetable soups.
